Josh Allen - Wikipedia

The Buffalo Bills overcame an early 17-3 hole to defeat the visiting Arizona Cardinals in a fantastic Week 1 triumph. The 34–28 victory wasn’t without unintended consequences.

Midway through the fourth quarter, while on a red zone scramble for six points, quarterback Josh Allen was hurt. Taron Johnson, the nickel cornerback, had departed the game early due to a forearm injury. After the touchdown, Allen was seen with a lot of bandages on his left hand and wrist as backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky warmed up.

Josh Allen And His Turnover Issues Create A Major Problem For The Buffalo Bills

Fortunately, Allen was able to complete the game, but it will be important to keep an eye on the injury to his non-throwing hand in the short week leading up to a crucial AFC East game against the Miami Dolphins early in the season. Nurse a hand injury is never ideal for any quarterback, much less one who has to play under the lights of Thursday Night Football and recover over the course of four days.

Mike Florio of NBC Sports was heard stating that the injury didn’t seem good during the halftime of the Sunday Night Football game between the Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams. After the game, though, Allen was not seen with his hand bandaged.

Bills' Josh Allen Makes Surprising Pick for Favorite Pass of His NFL Career

It is probable that head coach Sean McDermott will provide additional details regarding Allen’s injured left hand during his press conference on Monday afternoon. Given Josh Allen’s warrior mentality, even though it’s the last thing the Bills Mafia wanted to hear (and they fully acknowledge that nobody with Buffalo Rumblings holds a medical degree), they’ll have to strap him down to the trainer’s table and throw away the keys if they want to keep him out of Thursday’s crucial divisional matchup.
