ESPN: Detroit Lions QB has evolved as one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks, check list of ranking….

Goff among NFL’s best, but still has work to do coming into 2025 season.
Detroit Lions veteran quarterback Jared Goff has evolved as one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks over the previous three seasons.
After struggling in 2021, his first year with the Lions, Goff has improved significantly and recovered to the form that helped him steer the Los Angeles Rams to a Super Bowl berth early in his career.
As he attempts to guide the Lions to their own Super Bowl participation, the NFL community is now paying attention. He was ranked eighth among all NFL quarterbacks by writer Brad Gagnon in a recent Bleacher Report list.
“Jared Goff stands out on this list because his trajectory differs from that of the younger quarterbacks on either side of him. And to be honest, it wouldn’t take more than a terrible 2025 campaign to make him completely vanish off this list in 2026, like Matthew Stafford and Dak Prescott did,” Gagnon said. “But for the time being, we’re talking about a 30-year-old who completed 72.4 percent of his passes for a 2024 Super Bowl contender, making him the highest-rated QB in the NFC. A experienced quarterback with an incredible 102.7 passer rating since the beginning of the 2022 season, Goff’s astounding 128.9 passer rating on third down was also off the charts.
Even though Goff has performed admirably over the past three seasons and has shown himself to be composed under pressure, Gagnon says his performance against Washington is concerning.
The veteran still has a lot to prove, but going into the 2025 season, he has established himself as one of the game’s best passers.
“Is it troubling that the 30-year-old threw three interceptions in a dismal playoff defeat to the Commanders? “Definitely,” Gagnon wrote. “The Lions’ recent regular-season success won’t amount to much until he improves on his lifetime postseason passer rating of 85.1. In this instance as well, 2025 will be crucial.
