In an attempt to win the NFC North Division three times in a row, the Detroit Lions have managed to retain the majority of their roster this offseason.

With a few tough injuries, the Lions almost missed a trip to the NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles, which would have taken place at Ford Field in Detroit, last season, winning the hearts and minds of millions of fans in Michigan and beyond.

In order to play in the Lions’ most important late-season games, Alex Anzalone heroically battled through a fractured forearm in the last stretch of the season.

When Anzalone took to X on Tuesday to express his opinions over a rival player’s contract issue, he found himself in an unexpected situation.

Trey Hendrickson, a defensive end with the Cincinnati Bengals, discussed his position with media over an ongoing contract issue, and Anzalone retweeted his remarks on Tuesday.

“If I sat here with four sacks, they’d want a pay cut and some money back,” Ari Meirov reported Hendrickson as saying.

“I’m not going to apologize for rates being paid to defensive ends in the National Football League.”

Hendrickson has stated that he will not be playing this season under the terms of his current contract, which is worth $15.8 million for the Bengals.

“This” was contributed by Anzalone as a remark and retweet.

When fans demanded that Hendrickson leave the Bengals for the Detroit Lions, Anzalone noted that they seemed to have missed the main point of his statement and sent out another tweet.
