Breaking news: Raiders head coach Pete Carroll announces his departure after meeting Tom Brady.
Despite the fact that he seldom visits the Las Vegas Raiders’ stadium, Tom Brady’s presence has a significant impact on the squad. This summer, he had a significant role in the team’s searches for a general manager and head coach.
Despite his lack of involvement in daily operations, he maintains regular contact with head coach Pete Carroll.
Carroll responded, “Pretty regular,” when asked how often he interacts with Brady by Seattle Sports. “We’re friends on the phone…. Given that Tom is the greatest competitor of all time, you can only imagine how exciting it is to discuss philosophy with him. Additionally, it’s not just how he played; it’s also how he lived, how he saw the world, and how he seizes any chance that comes his way.”
Despite being one of the most well-known football coaches of the 2000s, Carroll may have taken a big risk by joining the Raiders at this point in his career. Since taking over the franchise, owner Mark Davis has had seven different head coaches, and the team hasn’t won a postseason game since 2002.
In a sense, Carroll acknowledged that he came to Las Vegas because of Brady.
“When Tom came on board here, it changed my outlook to come here,” Carroll stated. “I thought that would be one of the great opportunities of all time.”
Antonio Pierce, a former linebackers coach with two years of experience, was named as head coach by the Raiders last year. It could have been challenging for them to do better given the franchise’s location.
It’s obvious that the Raiders are a far more desirable destination for elite coaching talent now Tom Brady is a part owner.
