ESPN: Another elite WR is linked to the Steelers.

This summer, the Pittsburgh Steelers have already made two significant wide receiver acquisitions, and they could be interested in a third.
93.7’s Adam Crowley With just the words “Chris Olave” posted on social media on Friday morning, the Pittsburgh fan sparked trade rumors. Crowley was presumed to have heard that the New Orleans Saints receiver may be of interest to the Steelers.
The Steelers have spoken about trade for Olave, according to Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com. However, the discussions are thought to be “extremely preliminary.”
After being acquired in a deal with the Seattle Seahawks earlier this summer, D.K. Metcalf is prepared to assume the role of Pittsburgh’s top wide receiver. After trading George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys, the Steelers now need a second option in the passing game.
Olave, who was selected with the 11th overall choice in the 2022 NFL Draft, had two seasons with the Saints where he received over 1,000 yards. He only managed 32 receptions for 400 yards and a score last season due to several concussions, which caused him to lose a substantial amount of time.
It’s uncertain if the Saints would even be willing to move Olave or what they would demand in exchange. The former Ohio State standout’s $15.5 million 2026 option was picked up by New Orleans, extending his deal by two years.
The Steelers may try to utilize the third-round selection they received in the Pickens deal to try to get a talent similar to Olave. They might be able to attract the most valuable player they are still attempting to sign with a move like that.
