Brutal Injury Update for Las Vegas Raiders Star: “Has Been Challenging”
On Monday, the Las Vegas Raiders began their voluntary organized team activities. They returned on Wednesday after taking Tuesday off, and they will continue until Thursday before taking a little vacation. In addition to June 2–5, the Raiders will be back on June 27, 29, and 30. After OTAs are over, they will go on to the required minicamp, which takes place from June 10 to June 12.
The Las Vegas Raiders star DT has not practiced
Christian Wilkins played in a career-low five games during his injury-shortened first season with Las Vegas. In Week 5 against the Denver Broncos, Wilkins sustained a season-ending Jones fracture in his left foot, which usually requires six to twelve weeks to heal. Though many questioned if he had suffered a setback, the great defensive lineman did not take part in drills despite attending both Monday and Wednesday’s practices.
A horrific injury update is given to a Las Vegas Raiders star.
Pete Carroll provided an injury update on Christian Wilkins during Wednesday’s press conference, as reported by Heidi Fang of The Las Vegas Review-Journal. Carroll said that while Wilkins is making great progress in his rehabilitation, he is not yet ready to return to practice, which will take some time to recover from. Carroll called the rehab “challenging,” but they have plenty of time before the regular season begins.
Carroll stated, through Fang, “He’s always here early and working hard, but we’re still working.” “He isn’t prepared to go again. We are now engaged in a protracted and difficult procedure. Thankfully, there is plenty of time, and we will make the most of it. He’s been on board the entire time, and we’ve really tried to be incredibly diligent in how we’ve worked it, how we’ve wanted it, and everything. However, it has been difficult.
