By acquiring Geno Smith from the Seattle Seahawks this offseason, the Las Vegas Raiders shown their willingness to actively pursue trades in order to bolster their squad.
However, heading into the 2025 NFL season, one analyst ranked the Raiders as the top trade destination for an explosive wide receiver worth $120 million.

This summer, the Las Vegas Raiders added Ashton Jeanty and Geno Smith, which undoubtedly improved their offensive line, but they still lack a real go-to wide out with explosive playmaking skills.
The Las Vegas Raiders are a favorite destination for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill if he is dealt after June 1st, according to CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin, even if the team selected the quick Tennessee wide out Dont’e Thorton in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Despite his multiple indications of dissatisfaction after the 2024 season, Benjamin said, “As of right now, the All-Pro speedster looks set to return to the Miami Dolphins.” The 31-year-old deep threat has had a number of off-field issues since leaving the Kansas City Chiefs, but are we certain the Dolphins wouldn’t consider offers if they came in for him? Instead of losing $600,000 by dealing the “Cheetah” before June 1, Miami would save almost $15 million by moving Hill after that date.
Benjamin listed the Raiders, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Chargers as possible trade destinations for the dynamic wide receiver shortly after this financial breakdown.
With two seasons of 119 catches and 1,700+ yards, Tyreek Hill’s time with the Dolphins got off to a fantastic start. Yet, things slowed off drastically last year with Hill generating just 81 catches for 959 yards and six scores — which were lowest totals in every statistical category since his 2019 season.
While Hill did occasionally display his explosive pace throughout the 2024 season, he only managed three 100-yard games the previous season, which was his lowest total since joining the Dolphins.
What role would Tyreek Hill play in the offense of the Las Vegas Raiders?
As the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks for the previous three seasons, Geno Smith had a strong ability to drive the ball vertically down the field, and the Raiders acquired him this summer.
Hill’s arrival to the Raiders’ offense seems to be the last component needed to turn this group into one that might be quite dangerous in 2025.
Both Ashton Jeanty and Brock Bowers are generational players at their positions who command a lot of attention from opposing defenses.
Despite his versatility as a wide receiver, Jakobi Meyers isn’t a particularly good vertical weapon. Although Tre Tucker has shown some explosive playmaking skills and Thorton is a terrific athlete, Hill’s ground-breaking vertical speed is unmatched.
Every week, Hill’s special vertical speed would make opposing defenders play pick-your-poison.
Bowers should thrive in isolated situations against linebackers and safeties if you devote additional effort to bracketing Hill.
Staying in a two-high shell merely invites difficulties because you are voluntarily making room for a dynamic back like Jeanty.
Additionally, Hill may punish with explosive plays down the field if you stack the box to slow down Jeanty.
Although a trade for Hill may cost a lot of money and draft assets, his influence on this football team’s 2025 ceiling would be significant.
