CBS Sports: The Eagles, the reigning Super Bowl champions adds Dolphins three-time All-Pro star

After paying Jalen Ramsey, the Miami Dolphins appeared to have a top cornerback on their roster for the near future.
Keeping Ramsey around seems like a sensible decision after he showed promise during the 2024 season, recording 76.9 overall, 85.7 run defense, and 71.9 coverage grades, according to PFF.
Ramsey will most likely be addressed soon, though, given indications that indicate the two parties are planning to split up.
Brad Crawford of CBS Sports mentioned the Philadelphia Eagles as a possible trade target when looking for possible choices. A seven-time Pro Bowler with championship experience would be joining the Eagles, who may boast the NFL’s top defense.
If all goes according to plan, Howie Roseman will have little trouble adding a seven-time Pro Bowl player to a locker room after winning a Super Bowl. With 2023 fourth-round selection Kelee Ringo and previous 2024 first-round pick Quinyon Mitchell anticipated to start, Ramsey may replace Ringo and strengthen a young team.
After giving up reliable safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans this offseason, the Eagles have already made one eye-opening move at the back end. His successor was supposed to be former Texas standout Andrew Mukuba, he wrote.
On paper, the Eagles’ trade for Ramsey wouldn’t be the worst option.
However, it must be taken into consideration that Ramsey and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio did not get along while they were with the Dolphins.
When Fangio left, Ramsey and several other Dolphins defensemen had unpleasant things to say about him. Maybe if they collaborated again, they would have a different mentality.
Although it appeared that they were at fault, who can tell what went on behind closed doors?
