Elgin (Oklahoma) High School offensive lineman Antoni Ogumoro, a class of 2025, discusses his official visit to Tennessee in detail this weekend.

Antoni Ogumoro has two more formal visits to make before making his planned announcement about his college choice, which is in a little over two weeks. But after returning to Tennessee this past weekend, he sees himself as a Vols player.

The Elgin (Oklahoma) High School offensive lineman, class of 2025, returned to Tennessee this past weekend to finish his last round of visits. He stated the Vols “helped themselves a lot” on his official visit to Knoxville. He told them he was thrilled when he visited their first junior day of the year on February 3 and that he could “most definitely” picture himself attending after his most recent trip to Tennessee.

A number of Vols will have their turn.

Three players were selected by the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, but after the NFL Draft, a number of other players were able to find new homes.

Jaylen Wright, a running back, made it to the fourth round and signed a deal with the Miami Dolphins. In the sixth round, quarterback Joe Milton was selected by the New England Patriots, and shortly after, cornerback Kamal Hadden was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs.

Then, as it does each year, the mad rush to sign undrafted free agents started. Over the course of the next day, eight more Volunteers discovered their next opportunity.

All eleven of these guys will now have to go through the rookie minicamp procedure, which starts this coming weekend. These players can visit the facilities and get their feet wet on the field during the three-day camp. Both drafted and undrafted athletes are welcome to attend. For the players who were not selected in the draft, it is evidently an opportunity to establish themselves and leave an impression before training camp and the preseason, when they will compete for a seat on the team.

When camp ends in August, we’ll see how many of these guys can stay.
