ESPN: When the Lions called his name in the NFL draft, the Michigan native almost passed out.
Playing with the Detroit Lions is Isaac TeSlaa’s dream come true.
The general manager of the organization, Brad Holmes, has related how the Hudsonville native arrived for his pre-draft visit wearing a personalized Lions jersey from a previous life.
And TeSlaa is enjoying every second of wearing his own Lions jersey and helmet for the first time.
“It feels fantastic. After his first rookie minicamp, TeSlaa declared, “No. 18.” Yes, guy, it’s a bizarre experience. It feels fantastic. Obviously, he was referring about me coming in on my visit, wearing my bespoke jersey I acquired a few years ago.
“But it’s much better to be wearing my own number with my name on the back, just go out here and make plays and just learn the offense and just be a part of this. It’s awesome.”
