One of the MLB clubs with the highest expectations is the New York Yankees, who are projected to perform well this season. Fortunately, the Yankees have players like Aaron Judge on their team, and they are taking the necessary actions to have a genuine shot at winning the World Series.

With a 37-22 record, the Yankees are now leading the AL East, and their season is just going better.

Judge is now favored to win AL MVP for the second straight season, and this week brings him one step closer to that feat.

The slugger’s historic spring has been topped off by MLB’s announcement on Tuesday, June 3, that Judge was named AL Player of the Month for May. Judge had 11 home runs, eight doubles, and 18 RBI in 117 plate appearances over the months of April and May. Among all eligible AL hitters in May, he also led in OPS, second in home runs, and fourth in batting average.

This honor is also nothing new to Judge. In fact, he has won this identical honor in May for four straight seasons. May might be considered his fortunate month.

For Judge, May wasn’t simply a nice month. The player ended the month with a 17-9 record, the third-best in the AL only behind the Detroit Tigers (19-9) and the Minnesota Twins (18-8); it was also a successful month for the Yankees as a whole.
