Since 2009, the NFL Hall of Famer has been employed by the network as an analyst.

NFL Network’s on-air staff and programming have seen some significant adjustments.

According to sources, the network has broken up with Michael Irvin, a wide receiver for the Dallas Cowboys and Hall of Famer in the NFL, and “NFL Total Access,” one of its longest-running and most well-liked programs, has been terminated after more than 20 years on the air.

According to reports, NFL Network has been heavily cutting staff and making layoffs for a number of months; this move seems to be a continuation of that pattern.

The Vice President of Communications at NFL Network, Alex Riethmille, told The Athletic on Friday that the network is “evaluating our talent roster for the upcoming 2024 season and beyond,” as is customary at this time of year.

Depending on the demands of the programming, that procedure leads to talent lineup additions, non-renewals, and renewals. We sincerely thank and appreciate the talent who is leaving for their hard work and contributions to NFL Media.

Irvin, 58, began working as an analyst for NFL Network in 2009. The football great was taken off the network’s Super Bowl week coverage in Phoenix in February 2023 after a Marriott hotel employee accused him of making a lewd remark.

A chat that took place in the hotel lobby included the woman alleging that Irvin touched her arms without permission and that he promised to find her later in the workweek.

Subsequently, Irvin sued Marriott International Inc., six other companies, and the accuser for defamation, requesting damages in the amount of $100 million. He said that the female employee had made up an accusation against him.

Dallas Morning News claims that Irvin moved in September and that he will be back on NFL Network for the 2023 football season.

establishing Tyler Guyton, a Cowboys first-round draft pick,’s first-year expectations

In 2024, what goals do you have for Tyler Guyton?

The Dallas Cowboys have high hopes for the rookie class of 2024 because many predict that the first three picks will play significant roles from the outset. This year’s group will be very different if this occurs. Fans don’t need to be reminded that out of the team’s eight previous draft selections, only Mazi Smith started for them in just three games. Furthermore, three players who never saw action were among the 75% of the draft class that participated in less than half of the games. The rookies from last year had a difficult first year performance.

But things won’t be the same this year. We hope, at least. A few players are anticipated to have an impact right away, so we felt it would be wise to take a forward-looking approach and see how they may fit into the plans for 2024. What can we anticipate from them in their debut season and where do they stand on the depth chart? Here is a preview of Tyler Guyton’s debut season, starting with this year’s top draft pick.

Guyton started for two seasons at Oklahoma, where he positioned himself to defend the left-handed quarterback for the Sooners on the right side. He didn’t play football much because in high school, he was primarily a basketball player. Despite having only made 15 starts as a collegiate offensive lineman, he has the desirable physical attributes to be a successful player at the position when he joins the league.

Tyron Smith’s departure for the East Coast creates an opening at left tackle. It seems sense that the organization would like to keep third-year offensive standout Tyler Smith at left guard. Smith’s first season at the position saw him named an All-Pro. Gupton will have every chance to begin the season as the team’s new left tackle as long as Smith is kept at a position he excels at.

Though none of them are particularly appealing, the Cowboys do have some alternative possibilities. Asim Richards from last year and Matt Waletzko from 2022, who were both selected in the fifth round, are both on the team, but neither of them has impressed enough to convince anyone that they should start in place of Smith. In order to keep depth on the edge, the squad also re-signed veteran Chuma Edoga. All of these players are capable of playing as swing tackles, but none of them are expected to start this season and guard Dak Prescott’s blindside.
