Unbelievable: Angel Reese Harassed at Team Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Members of the Chicago Sky WNBA team responded on social media after they were approached by a man at their Washington, D.C. team hotel. When the Sky arrived in town for their game against the Washington Mystics on Thursday, June 6, the incident occurred on Wednesday, June 5.
A man with a camera reportedly approached the squad as they got off the bus, focusing on Chennedy Carter of the Sky, who was famous for blind-side hip-checking Indiana Fever player Caitlin Clark to the ground during their game on Saturday, June 1. The Chicago Sun-Times reported this. According to Sky general manager Jeff Pagliocca, “it was over as fast as it started.” “I have complete faith that our security will always make our players feel secure. Today was a fantastic illustration of how important they are to our group.”
Police were not summoned; instead, team security intervened to defuse the tension, according to The Sun-Times. Eventually, the individual was led away by hotel security without any additional trouble. Even yet, some of the Sky players voiced their dissatisfaction with the way things transpired, especially with Carter, 25, being singled out, despite the problem being handled. “Finding out our teams hotel to pull with a camera as we get off the bus and put it in my teammates face & HARASS her is NASTY WORK,” Angel Reese posted on X. “This really is outta control and needs to STOP.”
Moving forward Isabelle Harrison commented via X, complimenting the Sky security personnel, saying, “It’s crazy that my friend is being harassed at our hotel! Not even able to get off the bus!” According to forward Michaela Onyenwere, “getting harassed at our hotel is where the line needs to be drawn,” via X. “Some ‘fans’ have NO CHILLLLL.” Moving forward Though Brianna Turner noted that the harassment “isn’t acceptable,” she stated that she “was not present for the interaction.”
Turner, 27, added, via X, “Didn’t realize that when we said ‘grow the game,’ that would be interpreted as harassing players at hotels.” “You are free to have your own opinion but consider if this happened to someone u know.”
After Carter hard-fouled rookie sensation Clark, 22, during the teams’ Saturday match, she was given a Flagrant 1, which denotes “unnecessary and/or excessive contact committed by a player against an opponent”. Carter declined to comment when questioned about the foul or Clark after the game. But the next day, Carter made fun of Clark on Threads, writing, “What else does she bring to the table, man, besides three point shooting?”
The meeting between the Sky and Mystics is still set for this Thursday at 7 p.m. ET, and it may be watched on Prime Video.
