LeBron James’ angry response when Anthony Davis doesn’t get a rebound

LeBron James considering retirement after Los Angeles Lakers swept by Denver Nuggets – 'I've got a lot to think about' | CNN

LeBron James was displeased that Anthony Davis was unable to grab a rebound.

After the Los Angeles Lakers unexpectedly lost Game 2 against the Denver Nuggets on Monday, they were furious. Now, a video from that game has gone viral, showing LeBron James becoming upset with Anthony Davis for not grabbing a rebound, which allowed Christian Braun to layup.

Halfway through the second quarter, this play took place. With the shot clock running out, Nikola Jokic had to make a terrible throw that missed. Up until that moment, the Lakers’ defensive possession was excellent, but it was destroyed when Braun grabbed the rebound and put it in.

LeBron or D’Angelo Russell needed to box out Braun there, in my opinion, even though you may criticize Davis for not being in a better position to grab the rebound. The Nuggets guard should never have been permitted to be in that position—he was just underneath the hoop, with plenty of room around him.

James may have been irritated since the Lakers have struggled mightily to get offensive rebounds in this game, despite his 26 points, 8 rebounds, 12 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. When the teams faced off in the Western Conference Finals of the previous season, the Nuggets had 42 of them to the Lakers’ 28.

The Nuggets enjoyed a 15-6 advantage on the offensive glass in Game 1 and a 9-4 advantage in Game 2; things have gone worse in this series. The Nuggets have now defeated the Lakers ten times in a row, although many of those games have been quite close. The Lakers could have won a few of those games if they could have just curtailed a few of those second-chance opportunities.

LeBron stated the Lakers needed to focus on details after the team lost the first game of the series to the Nuggets. Rebounding would have undoubtedly been a priority, and head coach Darvin Ham had even mentioned how his team’s performance in Game 1 was largely attributed to those second-chance opportunities.

In Game 2, they were unable to secure many offensive rebounds, but at least they kept the Nuggets to just nine. I don’t think the Lakers will be able to prevail in that game on the glass, but they still have to find a solution.

After Game 2, LeBron James Furious With The Referees
After the game, LeBron was furious with the refs despite his slight annoyance towards Davis. The refs were criticized by James for calling a clear foul on D’Angelo Russell.

“To be honest, I have no idea what’s going on in the replay center. This year, last year, or whatever, I believe I mentioned it. Clearly, D’Lo is struck in the face while driving. For what purpose does our replay center exist? I find it incomprehensible. It annoys me. I also witnessed the events of the 76ers vs. Knicks game. “What are we doing?”

At the conclusion of the game, LeBron also vehemently pursued the referee. He believed he should have received a and-one after being fouled during a layup that gave the Lakers a late-game lead of 99-97. The Lakers were quite upset with that ruling and their subsequent 101-99 loss, especially because of the foul on Russell that was reversed.

It’s true that they lost that game, but that doesn’t make it acceptable that certain calls went against them. The Lakers had a 20-point lead at one point in the third quarter, and they didn’t blow that lead because of the officials. A few phone calls here and there wouldn’t have mattered at all if they had just kept the Nuggets at bay.

Unlikely: NBA BROTHER OF NIKOLA JOKIC PUNCH A FAN IN STANDS DURING PLAYOFF GAME VS LAKERS

Denver Nuggets Star Reveals Truth About Nikola Jokic's Leadership - Sports Illustrated Denver Nuggets News, Analysis and More

You would think that after the Nuggets’ incredible comeback victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, Nikola Jokic’s siblings would be ecstatic. Rather, Strahinja, Jokic’s brother, dressed up a fan in the seats, and the incident was captured on camera.

Strahinja snuffed the fan in the face as soon as he was close enough.

Following the attack, Strahinja and the man who was hit by the jab continued to slander each other, while Nemanja, the third brother, stood by his violent sibling to provide moral support.

Here’s the thing: Joker, the two-time MVP, was seated alongside his spouse, Natalija, in the stands. She was holding their small daughter and only feet away from the scene involving Joker’s siblings. She did make an attempt to calm Strahinja down, but he refused to listen.

As formidable as their well-known brother, the Jokic brothers are well-known for standing up for Joker during games, but striking someone in the face is another matter entirely. Watch how the league responds to this one.
